support for expression
I am a painter, musician, writer and counselor. I hold sessions in Newburyport and on Skype. I also teach both art and music from the perspective of expression and wellness and meeting the student in the most rounded way, designing ongoing study that suits where one is and where one would like to go. I have been teaching, counseling and painting since the early 1980′s. I am supervised by Emily Ruppert, a well known Transactional Analyst. I find this form of intelligent intellectual approach very teachable and can shift patterns (script analysis) and games (with pay offs called rackets that house familiar feelings which keep us playing and not giving ourselves permission to change the game, the pattern and the pay off).
THE WALL = painting on the wall, big and with inexpensive paint equals:
Visioning, connecting to higher identities, cleansing, permitting a story to evolve

Trained to watch for signs and clues, my type of counseling is a teaching process. Some of it I do by example and always by a person deciding for themselves what is true. Painting on large paper on a wall is one way of getting to the truth of the matter. The body must move to paint and in the movement, expression of old sadness or current anger may come out and also the underlying connections to the core of the person. These are expressed through the images that appear and reappear even when covered over once, twice or thrice.
